Doula Birth Services

These are typically done in the clients home and last 1-2 hours. Most often these will be when you have reached gestational weeks 20 to 30, but can be done sooner if preferred. We will discuss your wishes and goals for your upcoming birth, and start to look at coping mechanisms and techniques.

Another 1-2 hour visit, typically between gestational weeks 31 and 36. During this visit we will review the birth plan and any changes you want to make, as well as start to plan for post-partum.

Depending upon what point in your pregnancy I begin working with you, or if there have been any recent or major changes to your birth plan, we may opt to meet a third time.

You will spend most of this phase in contact with me, and utilizing the coping mechanisms and strategies we’ve discussed in our prenatal visits.

As labor progresses and you are ready for me, I will join you and provide hands on support throughout the process.

Once labor has ended and your new baby has joined us in the world, I will stay with you for 1-2 hours to ensure your needs are met and everything is going well. After that I will leave and allow you to bond as a family unit!
